leave this in your downloads

now

open "Uninstall a Program" and delete whatever PB file is there

(next the tricky part)

reboot

go to your downloads and run the program from there
when it opened BF3 was already there

click on UPDATE and let it do its thing

thats it
leave the installer where it is as it will upgrade all your PB files

go play

when you look in your program files in remove a program PunkBuster is not listed
fine good ok woohoo and like that
because it runs from where you have it

back in the olden days you were forced to put the PB file in the game you wanted to use
